Our Story

HDT Foundation was born out of the passion of mountaineers, hikers, and trekkers who share a deep bond with the Himalayas. Officially registered in October 2024, the foundation was created with one purposeโ€”to give back to the mountains and the communities that have given us so much.

Our volunteers and members are not outsiders. They are people of the Himalayasโ€”born and raised in these valleys, villages, and high-altitude regions. They have experienced the challenges of remote mountain life firsthand: limited access to education, healthcare gaps, and the growing impact of climate change. With years of experience and understanding, they bring practical solutions rooted in empathy and lived reality.

Our Mission

To uplift Himalayan communities by focusing on:

  • Education โ€“ supporting children and youth with resources, scholarships, and opportunities for learning.
  • Healthcare โ€“ improving awareness, accessibility, and assistance for families in need.
  • Environment โ€“ protecting the fragile mountain ecosystem through clean-up drives, reforestation, and conservation efforts.

Why We Care

The Himalayas are not just breathtaking landscapesโ€”they are home. They nurture countless families, cultures, and traditions, yet face challenges that threaten their survival. At HDT Foundation, we believe that sustainable progress comes from empowering people and protecting nature, side by side.

Our Vision

A resilient Himalayan region where families thrive, children dream freely, and the environment flourishes for generations to come.
